I'm So Glad You're Here!
Doula. Childbirth Educator. Mom of 6.
I'm passionate about preparing and supporting parents through their birth and postpartum, giving special attention to their emotional health during challenges that can arise during the parenting journey.
Hi, I'm Kailyn!
Like many moms, I had a lot of fear surrounding my first birth and my identity in this unfamiliar realm of motherhood. Unfortunately, despite reading the mainstream pregnancy resources and attending my hospital’s birth class, I was very ill-equipped to have a positive birth experience—and didn’t even realize it! No one gave me the real information to help me make best choices—I just did what I was told by peers and care givers, without warning that the “standard” might not be best for me or my baby.
Upon bringing Baby Girl home, my experience had left me feeling disconnected from her and un-empowered as a new parent. My second birth was totally different! This time I had prepared my body and learned what would be going on in it, so that I didn’t have to fear the birth process. I had practiced coping strategies, and felt strong and capable of handling my contractions even though it was the hardest work I had ever done! I came away with a new identity as a “mama bear” that has stuck with me through the beauty and challenges of three babies since then.
Through a miscarriage, a Rainbow pregnancy, and a traumatic pregnancy experience, I realized another gaping need for new parents is someone who will validate them. Rest assured. There is a sensitive, listening ear to help you unpack your experiences and emotions, and move forward in healing for a healthy perspective of yourself and your parenting role.
Your experience matters.
So now, I’m here for you! As a childbirth educator, birth doula, postpartum doula and loss doula, I'll be your personal guide through pregnancy and beyond. I'll meet you wherever you are in your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. My goal is to help you and your family be truly informed, and have as positive of an experience as possible (as defined by YOU!), while also supporting you through whatever difficulties there may be. Personally, as a Christ-follower, I seek to bring love, respect, and compassion to parents from a variety of belief backgrounds. Ultimately, I want to be your safe space.
By your side,
